SUMMARY
The basis for successfully controlling overweight is to distinguish
active from inactive Adipose-cells.
Fat is stored in inactive Adipose-cells (immobile fat, Table: category 3) and
active Adipose-cells (fully mobile fat and semi-mobile fat, Table: category 1,2).
The vast majority of methods for weight reduction is only effective on mobile fat, in spite of
immoderate claims. Nature itself restricts many weight reduction attempts from being effective.
Only a couple of methods also activate semi-mobile fat in the active
Adipose-cells and also the immobile fat. This is summarized in the Table.
Additionally a distinction must be made in methods for weight reduction, between the prevention
of storage of carbohydrates and fats, and the releasing and burning
of stored fat (see Table).
